Welcome to the Home Scene – the blog dedicated to home interiors and styling inspiration to transform your house into a home.

Growing up on the building site from a young age, I was acquiring knowledge and experience without even realising it. Having a grandfather and father who were builders meant my upbringing was a very hands-on and practical one, and obviously set the tone for my future as I ended up marrying a builder too!

My whole live I’ve been immersed in DIY projects and renovations, all while honing my design skills, which are a real asset to the Home Scene Blog.

My style includes a love affair for timber materials, monochromatic bases and adding pops of colour through art and styling.  A home is a place to unwind, entertain and enjoy time with family and friends – your own retreat at the end of the day.

Helping others unlock their inner design and DIY skills is what led me to creating the Home Scene platform.

Style doesn’t always have to equal expensive and here at the Home Scene, I’ll share with you ways you can do this, inspiration for that next beautiful space, as well as featuring beautiful homes we love – and not forgetting the mini me’s of your life (inspiration for now or…. in the future).

No matter how big or small your home is, you can make it one that you truly love.
